A year into the "Stay-at-home" in California.
It has been a year since the first stay at home order went into effect in Bay Area, California. We still did not understand how serious this situation was going to get. Everyone was asked to maintain social distancing, but masks were not mandatory yet. It felt like everything came to a standstill.
In the big picture, this was a global crisis that affected the entire humanity But if you think about it, did it really affect everybody equally?
- Some people thrived i.e., the pandemic had a positive affect on their lives.
- Some were minorly inconvenienced. i.e., not able to go out and do "normal" things, but otherwise doing fine.
- Many people lost their source of income.
- Many were fighting for their lives, and
- Many just couldn't make it through.
2020
is a classic example of how life throws great challenges at us. The
"challenge" or the puzzle could be the same, but it affects each one of
us differently. Each one of us has to walk our own path, cross our own
hurdles and find our own solution. The goal is to come out of it as
better version of yourself.
A year later,
things are still the same. Yet, a lot has changed. There is a hope for a
better future and normalcy to return very soon. I am sure everyone has
learnt their own life-lessons from 2020. Mine is
"Don't take Life too seriously. Know when to take-it-easy!"
